Atomic Anxiety 1
Syndrome
Short
Description
This piece used several techniques. First, with a soldering machine, I made the atomic explosion on a metal plate. Then I applied ink on the high relief left by the welding and then I pressed the paper with my hands for a few seconds and then removed the paper slowly. After that, I dripped the oil paints following the form of the nuclear blast. The paper I used is made by artisans in the town of Barichara in the Santander region of Colombia, from an agave species we call Fique. In my quest of the last 4 years I want to try as many techniques as I can to find diversity in my art.
