Erratic anger
3 birds entangled in a net

Short
Description

Nets are one of the most horrible devices humans use to capture animals. In this painting I try to convey the horror of nets used to capture birds for food, fun, cruelty or science. I decided for the first time to use dripping, a technique I am exploring constantly now. I am a fan of Jackson Pollock and I always thought that his paintings looked like huge abstract entangled nets. So I put birds behind the dripping to depict how “inescapable” nets are in general. This is a 3 piece painting, very colorful when you shine some UV light on it.
