Aya, a friend of mine from Colorado came to visit the year of the pandemic, and she did buy a couple of my paintings. Then she told me she wanted to commission another painting of whatever subject I picked. So I did this piece of the skull of a Frigate Bird surrounded by the graphs of temperature anomalies caused by the warming of our atmosphere. I included a bunch of little abstract frigate birds over imposed on some medusae. Pure abstraction. I sent that painting to Aya after 6 months of thinking about it and a couple of weeks of laying paint. I really like this piece.
