Laniakea Beach
A tribute to Bob Ross
Short
Description
I was browsing videos one day and stumbled upon Bob Ross painting a wave crashing on the beach. I decided I wanted to try that but with my style. I included some birds escaping imaginary dangers to the right of the scene, flying in the opposite directions, to the left. What I found is that Bob made those paintings look so easy to make, but it is not easy, not one bit!. However once I started to see the combination of clouds and waves coming to life I got excited. I finally used the brush to elongate the crests of the waves and the wings of the birds, and suddenly the painting made sense. A Laniakea style piece. I sold this small seascape to a dear friend of Mine in Pennsylvania, Rachel, back in 2020.
