Laniakea Horizon

Description
For the first time, I used Invisible Pigment Optics, or ‘Phantom pigments’, sensitive to Ultra Violet radiation, in the series Laniakea. This painting has a special glow that is not a simple reflective pigment effect. These invisible pigments do not register during daylight, so you would not suspect the forms painted with theme, are there at all. However, when you shine some UV light (under 425nm of wavelength), it manifests itself in bright beautiful colors. I also used some real feathers to complement the effect of the bright colors. When you blow over the piece, they move, giving a great effect to the whole scene. This is also one of my favorite paintings. It hangs in my office.
