This was one of my first attempts at abstraction. After being inspired by the young New York artist Melissa McCracken (@melissamccrack), I decided to experiment with oil on canvas and abstract forms. My intention was to use a lot of colors and then diffuminate them into the background. By chance that diffumination became long strings that, to me, looked like spiral arms of galaxies, hence the reference to a long string of them moving in one direction like our own Milky Way is doing within Laniakea, our supercluster. I sold this to my friend Aya, from Colorado back in 2020 when she visited Colombia.
