I like mangroves, I know mangroves, I have measured thousands of mangrove trees for research with my friend Rafael Araujo, an expert on the subject, in many expeditions when he invited me to participate in the sampling process, specially in Panama. Hard work, but very rewarding if you ask me. I painted this small piece commissioned by another friend of mine, Jaime Polania, a professor, colleague of mine at a different university. He gave this to one of his PhD Students as a present for his graduation.
