Metal nuclear blast
The anxiety continues
Short
Description
Tired of waiting for a welder to come home and fix my gate, I decided to buy a welding machine. While learning to do that (not easy!), I discovered the artistic potential of laying metal on metal. I saw, in my struggle to be precise with the welding, a lot of forms that were appearing on the surface of the metal. So I decided to buy a flat plank and start drawing with fire and electric arches, noise, and blinding lights, and toxic smoke. The result of my first try is this atomic blast. I then used it to do some printing that I think was also very good. You can see this in the painting called Atomic Anxiety 1. By serendipity, I also found that soldering leaves residues that are sensitive to UV lights. Very convenient for me. I will use that to my advantage in the future if I survive the toxic fumes! 🤭
