Based on a picture taken by Jorge Montoya, I decided to experiment with my first self portrait. I only used the palette knife and a very crude draft of myself sitting in a grass meadow looking at the camera. I used real feathers of a local bird called “Soledad” (Momotus aequatorialis) that I often find while walking with my dogs, to adorn my head. I also used phantom pigments so when the picture is illuminated with UV lights, it reveals a few floating medusae and some stars around me.
