It took 38 years to finish this painting!. I first started in 1986 when I was still going to college. This was my first try at painting with oils. I was only 23. There are weird images of skulls, wine glasses, bulls and a girl in ecstasy. There is even a fossil of a trilobite around. For more than 16 years I did nothing to this piece, but in 2020 when I discovered the UV pigments I kind of ruined it by crudely applying some colorful dots that I ended up despising. Then in 2020, I decided to put the third and last (?) layer of some Laniakea style birds with oil. I basically covered the other layers and left only a few hints of the original brush strokes of my youth. You have to struggle to find them. Now, I love this abstract mess. I can see time passing by, when I look at it.
