Description

While trying to paint on paper instead of canvas, I picked a subject that is complicated: waterfalls. I walked for a couple of hours to get to this particular spot and took pictures of this and other waterfalls formed by the same stream. This is the third of that series. The change of colors in this painting is very dramatic. With normal illumination (visible light), the orange and yellow colors predominate. With ultraviolet light, blues and greens appear. The painting glows after the lights are turned off.
