Trees are both beautiful and important for life on Earth. I will say indispensable. However, 50% of them are gone! and at the rate we are cutting them down, they will not last more than another hundred years, even though they have been around for 385 million years. Forests host 80% of life on earth. This species is called Yarumo (Cecropia sp.) and it is very abundant where I live. This is one tree out of a long series that I plan to dedicate to the subject, using the dripping-on canvas technique.
